These will eventually be a series of twelve that are my view of the demons the apostles dealt with... The red one is Thomas' the blue one is Peter...
The subject matter in all of the "Taterbug" collection is not as important as the thought behind them. I wanted to portray unity.... to show how we are all connected. That is why you can "see" through everything. The fruit, the branch, the leaf and and the sky are all important facets of the image.
The medium for this is color pencil and ink. The "Taterbug" collection gets its name from my youth. Mom use to call me Taterbug and my sister Punkin'. The colors are bright such as kids tend to gravitate towards.
Color pencils and Ink created this composite. The color pencil works are often my study before I start a painting.
A color pencil piece I created. This is a rough draft or a study for a painting. I want to turn this one into a painting using a canvas that is my height and width and using the silouettes of my friends and family.
We have an ongoing work of art going on in our kitchen where friends of family are welcome to paint an apple with us and it gets hung in the house. This painting is from a series of those sittings.
This was a whimsical painting created to go over our bed. The base color was the actual wall color. The leaves are small cut outs of leaves.
This is one of four paintings that makes one large painting. Made with the wall color in the bedroom for that room.
Made for my wife for our anniversary. She loves whimsical garden critters, so this was made for her. It is made from a bowling ball a good friend of mine gave me.
